In the summer of 2010, the Joseph Priestley, Metro NY, St. Lawrence, and Ohio-Meadville Districts of the UUA will each offer a different model of advanced leadership development. We encourage you to participate in the one that works best for you.

The UULTI Design Team will evaluate the four 2010 models and use what we learn to re-imagine UULTI 2011.

St. Lawrence District UULTI Leadership Retreat

What will that look like? For OMD, it may be embedding the “Lay Theological” piece into their Summer Institute. For SLD, it may entail a 3 or 4 day residential event similar to what they spontaneously created in 2009. For JPD and MNY, it may mean co-locating or collaborating in some way with UUMAC, the residential family camp. Each district will then share their best ideas and most innovative practices late in the summer of 2010 at which point we will receive some further direction from CERG.

During this year of intentional experimentation, the CERG will work on a strategic vision for leadership development (which includes advanced leadership development and team leadership development) that will include UULTI (or whatever it morphs into) as part of an overall landscape of possibilities within a framework of more clearly defined leadership “competencies.”
