What is the OMDUUMA?
WHO? OMDUUMA is open to all persons who are members of the Unitarian Universalist Minister’s Association. Students who wish to attend OMDUUMA are welcome to attend, however, they must be UUMA student members. UUMA Interns and interims are always welcome.
WHAT? OMDUUMA stands for the Ohio Meadville District Unitarian Universalist Minister’s Association. OMDUUMA meets twice a year for two evenings and two half days (generally Monday lunch – Wednesday lunch). All members of the Unitarian Universalist Minister’s Association in good standing are welcome to attend. We also meet for dinner on the Friday night prior to the Annual District Assembly (the location changes every year).

OMDUUMA Retreat Information
WHEN? The Spring Retreat will be February 1-2, 2010 at Salt Fork State Park. Retreats are generally held during either the last week of September or the first week of October, and the last week of January or the first week of February.
CHANGES FROM PAST YEARS
We are trying a new venue this year and unlike past years we are not allowed to bring outside food or drink to Salt Fork Resort and Conference Center. This means that all food and beverages for social hour must be purchased onsite.
Due to additional transaction fees we must pay for credit cards, you may choose to register online and them mail in a check or pay a higher fee and charge it to your credit card as part of the registration process.
Activities at Salt Fork
There are numerous recreational opportunities available at our retreat facility. In the lodge and resort area there are an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, a game room, exercise room and basketball, tennis and volleyball courts. Wireless internet is available for purchase. Nearby the resort and within the park there are opportunities for boating—including boat rentals—hiking, fishing and hunting. An 18-hole golf course is also nearby.
The town of Cambridge, only a few miles from Salt Fork, features several small museums and dining opportunities. Other area attractions include Hosak’s Cave, the Andrew Kachilla Center for the Arts, The Wilds (a large conservation facility) and the Georgetown Vineyards.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
All participants needs to register your intent to attend the retreat by Monday, January 18, 2010 to avoid incurring late fees. To do this you have three options (options listed in order of preference):
- You can complete your registration form and submit your payment electronically on this site. We do charge a higher fee for those who chose to use their credit card, due to the transaction fees we must pay. Click here to register online.
- You can register with the online registration form and then mail a check to the treasurer, following the instructions on your confirmation email.
- You can complete your registration form, print it out and mail it to the treasurer along with your check. Please make your checks payable to OMDUUMA. Click here to download the form as word file or a pdf file.
- You can send your intent to register by emailing the treasurer at zimlar at juno.com. If you elect this option your completed registration form and payment must be received by the treasurer by Friday, January 29, 2010.
