Speaking of Money: Personal Finance Ministry - A6 - As our nation deals with a gloomy financial picture, money anxiety is growing and our congregations are being called to a new and occasionally awkward conversation about our relationship with money. Come discover your unique money personality, learn how we live out our UU values by the way we spend (or don’t spend) our money, and explore your personal vision of “financial freedom.” Lots of take-home resources for starting a conversation about money in your congregation. Talking about it helps…really! Presented by Patricia Infante, the Director for Lifespan Faith Development in the Joseph Priestley District of the UUA. View the powerpoint online, download the powerpoint (requires powerpoint on your computer), handouts: Moolah Personality Quiz, Resource List, Money Sense Money Quiz, You Know What They Say. You can also download the podcast (25 mb, 55 minutes long)

Truth, Repair and Reconciliation - A8 - Responding to the call in the “Truth, Repair and Reconciliation” resolution to research the Association’s history: to uncover our links and complicity with the genocide of native peoples; with slavery and the slave-based economy; and with racial, ethnic, and cultural oppression, toward the goal of accountability, we’ll take a look at some of the things we’ve learned about the UUA and our predecessor organizations and share ways congregations can explore their own histories. Presented by Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris, Director for Congregational Services of the UUA. Download the podcast (29 mb, 63 mins)

Marketing Ideas to Help Your Congregation Grow- B6 - In this workshop we’ll discuss the steps in the strategic marketing process, look at marketing research tools, share low cost “guerrilla” marketing ideas, and explore web-based marketing such as Google AdWords, e-newsletters and social networking. We’ll also discuss ways that clusters of congregations can work together to stretch their marketing dollars. Presented by Valerie Holton, UUA Marketing Outreach Director and Mark Bernstein, Growth Consultant for the OMD. View the powerpoint online, download the powerpoint (requires powerpoint on your computer). Download the podcast (35.5 mb, 1 hr 17 mins long)

Seeing Worship, Justice, Leadership and Learning through a Multigenerational Lens: An Overview of Best Practices- B7 - Many of our congregations are moving toward creating a Multigenerational Community of Faith. If our goal is to integrate folks of all ages into the life of our congregations, we need programs that facilitate and support worship for all ages, social justice activities across the age spectrum, leadership development for all, and multi-age learning opportunities. Presented by Karen Lapidus, OMD Lifespan Faith Development Consultant. Download the handouts: Multigenerational Helpful Tactics, Multigenerational Resources. Download the podcast (26 mb, 57 min)
